A young man yet-to-be-identified has been killed in what appears to be a rival cult clash at Odien street, in Essi Layout, Warri South Council Area of Delta State.
THE MANDATE gathered that the incident occurred on Friday afternoon.
The deceased was found lying on the road Friday till Sunday morning. with matchete cuts on his forehead and arms.
Sources said within the area told our reporter that they were surprised to see the Corps of the young man after some moment of gun shots which sent pannic and tension within the area.
“As at the time of the incident there was several shots fired into the air as the cultists engaged in a show of power.
When contacted for comment, the state Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), DSP Bright Edafe confirmed the incident when he said, “yes, it is confirmed, it’ is a cult clash involving one of the cult members. A notorious cult member was killed in the process.”
