Gunmen suspected to-be- hired assassin have shot dead a man yet-to-be identified at Oruwhoru road in Udu Local Government Area of Delta State.
THE MANDATE online gathered that the incident occurred evening of Saturday, April 9, 2022.
According to sources, “The young man was driving when gunmen suspected to be Yahoo Yahoo boys shot him from behind”
“Nothing was taken away from him after killing him. The killers did not even check if he (deceased) has anything on him, nor confirm if he was dead before they left the scene. They seem to have followed him from somewhere to the point where he was shot dead.”
“The young man is a suspected Yahoo Yahoo boy who may have picked money for someone and refused to give same to the person whom he picked it for.”
“The man did not die instantly. He managed to drive after he was shot until he lost control and hit an electric pole where he finally gave up the ghost.”
When contacted for comment, the Delta State Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), DSP Bright Edafe confirmed the incident to our Correspondent in Warri on Sunday Morning in a text message. “Yes, it’s confirmed” PPRO said, in a brief reply.
