The Nigeria Union of Journalists, NUJ Delta State Council congratulates the Delta State NLC Secretary, Comrade Innocent Ofuonyeadi on his emergence as Deputy National President of the Radio, Television and Theatre Art Workers Union (RATTAWU) over the weekend in Gusau, Zamfara State.
This is contained in a statement jointly signed by Comrade Michael Ikeogwu and Comrade Patrick Ochei, Chairman and Secretary, respectively, NUJ Delta State Council and made available to newsmen.
NUJ Delta State Council said it rejoices with the Senior Comrade who had contributed enormously to the growth of unionism in our sister Union RATTAWU, Delta State and the nation at large.
According to the statement, “Your election victory did not come to us as a surprise, but has come to reaffirm our strong belief in your capacity to always stand up for workers in your Union and Nigerian Labour Congress in general.”
“With you at that level of leadership, we know we can continue to count on you as we build bridges of strength, unity and formidable solidarity within the media constituency and beyond.”
“Once again, we congratulate you for this great feat and wish you a rancour free but prosperous tenure in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ,” the statement concluded.
