Leaders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) across Isoko Nation have appealed to President Bola Tinubu, urging him to consider the Isoko ethnic nationality for top federal appointment.

The Leaders selected from the 24 Wards across Isoko Nation made this appeal on Easter Monday, when former Secretary to Delta State Government,  Comrade (Chief) Ovuozourie Samuel Macaulay hosted 10 selected APC faithfuls to celebrate the Easter with them.

They emphasized that Isoko Nation has been marginalised in appointments made by past administrations including the President Tinubu led administration. “Isoko have no representation in the entire executive arm of the Federal Government including federal appointments in notable agencies.

“The appointments made so far favour one ethnic group or the other except Isoko nation. This is unacceptable to we the good people of Isoko Nation, who are major contributors to the Nigerian economy, as well with massive votes given by Isoko Nation to our great party in the last general elections.” The Leaders added.

Speaking at the event, the Chairman of APC in Isoko North Local Government, Barr Daniel Emebuno, commended Comrade (Chief) Ovuozourie S. Macaulay for spending his own resources to build the party in Isoko nation and for giving everyone sense of belonging.

He said; “Since our Leader,  Comrade (Chief) Ovuozourie Macaulay joined our great party, he has done what some of us couldn’t do. He has been spending his time and resources towards building the party in order to ensure that we take over the State next general elections. I am appealing to everyone to remain calm and give our Leader the necessary prayers and support in his quest to move our party forward.

Others who corroborated Barr Daniel Emebuno are, Surveyor Akarogbe, APC State Secretary, Chief Mrs Hopelyn Ayu,  State Welfare officer, Hycenth Ede, Delta South Senatorial District, Queen APC Youth Leader, among others.

Earlier on in his speech,  the Converner of the gathering, Comrade (Chief) Ovuozourie Samuel Macaulay, charged all party faithfuls present to remain steadfast and be commited to the growth of the party.
