The Honourable Member Representing Ndokwa East Constituency and Former Deputy Speaker, Delta State House of Assembly,  Rt. Hon. Friday Ossai Osanebi, on Sunday April  10th, 2022, empowered his constituents for believing in him and show of love to him.

The empowerment programme saw Rt. Hon. Osanebi givng out items such as cash, cars, grinding machines, hair dryers and generators, sewing machines, baking confectionaries, and starters pack for those trained on Computer Application and Web Development.

According to the organisers of the programme Ndokwa Youth Entrepreneurial/Empowerment Skill Acquisition Scheme (NYEESAS), the beneficiaries numbering over hundreds where selected from Ukwuani Local Government, Ndokwa East and Ndokwa West Local Government Areas and trained by NYEESAS, under the sponsor of Rt. Hon. Friday Ossai Osanebi as parts of his contribution towards alleviating poverty from Ndokwa nation.

They noted that, the empowerment programme, which was held  at Ndam Secondary School, Beneku Ndokwa East Local Government Area of Delta State,  was organised to mark the Home Coming of the Honourable Member, after two (2) years of being away.

While addressing his supporters, Rt. Hon. Friday Ossai Osanebi,  commended his followers and Constituents for the love they have showed him over the years and for honouring his invitation.

In his words; “I’m most overwhelmed seeing you all here today. Today makes it 2years and 1month that we have not had a gathering like this. And I must confess to you all that, I’m so happy to see your beautiful and handsome faces. This shows that you all truly love me, because if you don’t love me, you will not be here today. And I love you all in Jesus name. Amen.”

“I know you all have been hearing different news here and there and people have been saying so many things. But all I can tell you all is to remain calm. God is on the throne and He alone can direct each and every of our steps.”

“2023 is in the hands of God and God will give power to whom He has chosen. Whatever name they are calling, please always remain calm.  We are not in competition with anyone. I believe in God that when it’s time, He alone will direct our steps and we will differentiate men from boys.”

“My people of Ndokwa nation,  please tell our people and those involved in the politics of pull him down syndrome to desist from it. Because he who God has blessed,  no man can cause.”

“Please take this message home to everyone that, when the appointed time of God comes, we are going to move from community to community,  Local Government to Local Government to decide who will represent us in any of the elective positions across Ndokwa nation. We will move from Ukwuani, Ndokwa East and Ndokwa West to choose a representative that’s ready to identify with his/her constituents.”

Those empowered with starters packs, cars and cash donations, by Rt. Hon. Osanebi during the event include; 10 beneficiaries who were trained on Computer Application and Web Development,  10 beneficiaries trained on Hair Dressing, 30 beneficiaries trained on Baking and Confectionaries.

Others were 12 beneficiaries empowered with cars, 40 beneficiaries trained on Fashion and Design, and 10 beneficiaries given Grinding Machine, and 100 market women empowered with 50,000 cash to support their businesses.

Akpe Faith, Odi Marvis, Engr MC Aghanomu, Hon Ujuwan Isioma and other beneficiaries who spoke to journalists, commended Rt. Hon. Friday Ossai Osanebi over his kind gestures shown to them, just as they prayed God to direct and bless him in all his steps.

While speaking to newsmen, Rt. Hon. Friday Ossai Osanebi, said, the gesture is part of his efforts to making many youths employers of labour as well as appreciating his constituents for the love they have showed him over the past 2years.

He further noted that those empowered on various skills have been trained with economically viable skills through the Ndokwa Youth Entrepreneurial/Empowerment Skill Acquisition Scheme (NYEESAS), hence they are empowering them with tools and in turn make them self reliant.
