The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Isoko North Local Government Area of Delta State has commiserated with pioneer Speaker of the Delta State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Emmanuel Okoro on the passing of his mother Mrs Angelina Okoro.

The late Mrs Okoro died at 83 after a brief illness.

In a statement by the Chairman of the party in the area, Prince Godwin Ogorugba, the party said the passing of Mrs Okoro was a great loss to the family and the entire Ofagbe community and Isoko North in general.

The party urged Okoro who is Special Adviser to the Governor on Community and Rural Development and his siblings to take solace in the fact that their mother lived a life of great accomplishments and left visible legacies in the annals of history.

“On behalf of the LGA Executive, party leaders and the entire membership of our great party in Isoko North Local Government, I condole with our dear leader Dr Emmanuel Okoro and the entire family over the passing of our dear matriarch Mrs Angelina Okoro.

“Mrs Okoro was a great woman and community leader who contributed immensely to the growth of the community and the church.

She was a great pillar of support to our leader and the entire family and we will surely miss her wise counsel.

“It is our prayer that God almighty will comfort her beloved family she had left behind.”
