Former House of Assmbly member from Sapele State Constituency, Hon. Ejaife Odebala, has expressed interest to contest the number one seat in Delta State come 2023.

Odebala made the disclosure at the first meeting of the Delta Central 2023 group (DC 23) meeting held on 28th May, 2023, in the capital city of Asaba, Delta State.

Meanwhile, the Delta Central 2023 group has mapped out strategies to lobby top politicians in Delta North, South and Central as part of its drive for an indigene of Delta Central to occupy the governorship seat come 2023.

Speaking during the first meeting of the group after its inauguration last Saturday, Chief Ighoyota Amori, National Leader of DC-23, said the meeting was called to review the inauguration/swearing of the group’s National Executive Council and Board of Trustees held at PTI, Effurun last week and also to map out plans to lobby leaders of other senatorial districts in the state to key into the Delta Central 2023 agenda.

He disclosed that the group will visit all Urhobo Traditional Rulers and Urhobo Progress Union within the first week of June to seek for prayers and blessings.

He added that the group is open to all PDP governorship aspirants who are prepared to join, as the group’s lobby message will be to appeal for support from other senatorial districts in Delta state to support aspirants of Delta Central extraction.

Amori also commended Governor Ifeanyi for the support for the people of Delta Central Senatorial District, especially the DC-23. He pray God to always guide him as he takes Delta State to the next level.

Those who attended the first executive meeting includes Chief Ighoyota Amori, National Chairnan, Hon. Solomon Igbrakpata, Deputy National Chairman, Hon. (Comrade) Reuben Izeze Y., 1st Vice Chairman, Chief Suru Salami, 2nd Vice Chairman, Hon. (Chief) Dennis Omovie, 3rd Vice Chairman, Dr. Chris Oharisi, National Secretary, Dr. Amos Ighorodje, Assistant National Secretary, and Mr. Matthew Tsekiri, Assistant National Secretary.

Others were Barr. Arthur Akpowowo, National Publicity Secretary, Hon. Sunday Apah, Assistant National Publicity Secretary, Mr. Festus Pemu, Assistant National Publicity Secretary, Hon.
