Odutemu Charges Olomu To Continue The Unity

The Archbishop of Bendel Ecclesiastical Province/Bishop of Ughelli Diocese,  Most Revd Cyril Odiboroghere Odutemu,  on Sunday charged Olomu people to continue in the spirit of the Unity with which they celebrated the passage rites of the Ohworode of Olomu Kingdom,  HRM (Dr.) Richard Layeguen Ogbon, Ogoni-Oghoro I.

 

Odutemu gave the charge during the outing service held at the St Andrew Anglican Church Ogoni-Olomu, in Ughelli South Local Government Area of Delta State.

 

He admonished the departed monarch children, Ogbon family and the entire Olomu Kingdom to emulate the goodwill and steps of the departed monarch in order to foster the unity, peace, love and development he left behind in the kingdom.

 

Most Revd Odutemu in his homily titled; “Focus on the things above”, urged Christians to desist from all immoral acts, oppression and other acts that are capable of igniting crisis in the kingdom and focus on things that will give them eternal life.

 

He said the church, as the conscience of the Kingdom, should promote ideals of unity and pray for the Kingdom as they move towards the enthronement of another Monarch after all the passage rites of Ohworode of Olomu Kingdom.

 

 

 

He appealed for the support of the entire kingdom For whoever will succeed the departed monarch and pray for the family to remain united and for God to guide and grant all the needed wisdom and understanding to sustain the peace, unity, love and development,  Ohworode left behind.

 

The outing service of the departed Ohworode of Olomu Kingdom, was attended by HRM Simpson Obruche, Odion R’Ode of Uwherun Kingdom, Rt. Revd Christian Ide, Bishop of Warri Diocese, Olorogun Albert Akpomudje SAN, Akpile of Olomu Kingdom, Dr. Kofi Richard, Chairman of Ughelli South Local Government, Hon Emmanuel Egoh, member representing Amuwo-Odofin, Lagos Constituency in the House of Representatives, Chief Dr (Mrs) Caroline Ajuyah, Medical Director of Divine Charity Clinic, G.R.A Warri, amongst others.
