Support Media Practioners In the Country, Archbishop Iboyi Charges Well to Do Nigerians

The General Overseer, Promise Kingdom Ministry a.k.a, Overflow Chapel, Sapele, Sapele Local Government Area of Delta State, Archbishop Godday Iboyi has called on Nigerians to support media practitioners in the country, sayi g that doing so will empower them to do more for societal growth and development.

Arcbishop Iboyi made the call at the celebration of 22nd Annual Thanksgiving Service where he was also honoured with an award as the Best Media Frie dly Cleric in South South 2022, by Sapele Mirror Newspapers.

The General Overseer Overflow Chapel who also hosted Journalists to a larvished get together at the end of the service, gave out food items to appreciate the media for their support to him and the ministry.

The cleric said he decided to celebrate Journalist from different media platforms because they have contributed in the propagation of the gospel of Jesus Christ a d other programmes and activities of the church and society in general.

Archbishop Iboyi said this is his own way of saying thank you to the journalists whom he had worked with in the State.

While noting that Journalists have made so many eminent personalities in the State without being adequately appreciated, he solicited for more positive cooperation as well as good working relationship from them, just as he charged well meaning Nigerians to do same.

The items he doled out to the Journalists include goats, bags of rice, bunches of plantain, loaves of bread and tubers of yams.

In his response, the Chairman of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Delta State Council, Comrade Michael Ikeogwu commended Archbishop Iboyi for the kind gesture.

Comrade Ikeogwu said Journalists have made so many politicians and other persons prominent in the society without being appreciated or remembered when they get to office.

He said,”You’re not the only man of God in the State. But what you have done should be emulated by others. If other men of God do what you’re doing, the Society will be a better place.”

He also assured Archbishop Iboyi of a more robust relationship with Journalists in the State, just as he prayed God Almighty to elevate and grant him good health to enjoy his labour.
