Tidi Mourns Exit Of Omovie, Says Death Monumental Loss To Warri, Uvwie

The Chairman of Warri South Local Government Area, Dr. Micheal Tidi on Wednesday consoled the family of former lawmaker who represented Warri South Constituency 11 in Delta State House of Assembly, Late Hon. Dennis Omovie.

Though the official cause of his death has not been announced, Tidi described the death of Omovie as “a monumental loss to the people of Warri South and Uvwie LGAs.”

In a condolence message by his Special Assistant on Media, Mr. Francis Sadhere, Tidi said the late lawmaker’s legislative sagacity, unassuming qualitative representation, respect for party’s ideology and ingenuity in fostering peaceful co-existence among people of Warri South Constituency 2,” were what singled him out from his peers.

The late Omovie was an accomplished politician, who will be long remembered for his service to Warri and Delta as whole.

“On behalf of my family and the good people of Warri South Council Area, I condole with the family of Late Chief Dennis Omovie.

“This is a personal loss, may God give the bereaved family and his numerous associates the fortitude to bear this death,” Tidi said.
