Ahead of the PDP’s primaries scheduled to hold mid May, A Frontline Aspirant for Delta South Senatorial District race, Sir Ayodele Oghogho Othihiwa, yesterday Thursday April, 5th 2022, consulted the Olu of Warri, His Majesty Ogiame Atuwatse III, over his Senatorial ambition.
Speaking during the visit, Sir Ayodele Othihiwa, said, the purpose of his visit to the highly dignified Monarch, is to declare his intentions to represent Delta South Senatorial District in the nation’s National Assembly.
He assured the Olu of Warri, his readiness to represent the good people of Delta South Senatorial District effectively and also to attract meaningful development to the district if given the party ticket in the forthcoming primary.
Sir Othihiwa further noted that, the primary objective behind his aspiration was to see to the plight of the people of Delta South, and by making sure that no stone is left unturned as regards the betterment of the people and the development of the district.
In a swift response, the Olu of Warri, Ogiame Atuwatse lll, thanked Othihiwa and his entourage for the visit and also thanked God for journey mercy granted them.
He, however, noted that the good people of Delta South Senatorial District deserve the best and the time is now to get the best man to do the job.
Dignitaries who accompanied Sir Ayodele Oghogho Othihiwa on the visit are; HRM Murphy Othuke Urugbezi Ogwara 1 (The Ovie Of Ellu Kingdom), Hon. Chief Mrs Beatrice Igogo, Chief Alex Akata, Barr. Princess (Mrs) Mary Erijo, Sir Patrick Omaduvie (IDU Rep), Odior Samuel Otobo, Mr. D.D Erunube, Mr. F.O Atumu, Comrade Oghale Osioni, Mr. Ichakor Sakadi, Mr. Collins Othihiwa among others.
Aside Sir Ayodele Othihiwa, others who spoke at the meeting, solicited support of delegates from Delta South for Ayodele Othihiwa, as they affirmed that the aspiration of their principal was for the betterment of the district and not selfish oriented.
