Delta Varsity Ozoro Partners MG VOWGAS On Practical Engineering Training For Students

Delta State University of Science and Technology, Ozoro has signed a memorandum of understanding with *MG VOWGAS LIMITED*, an indigenous oil and gas servicing company for the practical engineering training of students of the nascent University.

At the signing ceremony at the company’s office in Port Harcourt, the Rivers State capital, the Vice-Chancellor of the University, Professor Jacob Oboreh said the partnership marks a turning point in the University’s quest to produce world class engineering and technologically savvy graduates.

Professor Oboreh thanked the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of the company, Mr. Godwin Izomor and the General Manager of the company for Government and External Relations, Mr. Anthony Ogilo for their interest in partnering with the University to develop young professionals in the oil and gas as well as engineering industry.

“As part of deepening Delta State University of Science and Technology Ozoro in areas of engineering, we have come to seek collaboration with MG VOWGAS engineering company in Port Harcourt in the area of practical engineering training for our students and for further areas of assistance to the University.

“On behalf of His Exellency, the Governor of Delta State, Rt. Hon. Elder Sheriff Oborevwori and the good people of Delta State, I thank you for accepting to collaborate with Delta State University of Science and Technology, Ozoro.”

The elated Vice-Chancellor said the content of the agreement would be very very beneficial to the University adding that details of the agreement would be communicated to the Governor for further action.

The Vice-Chancellor was received by the General Manager for Government and External Relations, Mr. Anthony Ogilo who said he has been directed by the Managing director and Chief executive Mr. Godwin Izomoh to prepare agreement of collaboration and sign with the university.

Highlight of the Vice-Chancellor’s visit ended with signing an agreement on collaboration with the university in several areas.
