Delta State Attorney-General and Commissioner for Justice, Isaiah Bozimo, Esq has stated that the reforms initiated by the Ministry of Justice are designed to ensure better justice delivery in the State.

Mr. Bozimo stated this while speaking on DBS television programme ‘ Justice Hour’ which was monitored in Asaba.

He stated that as a result of the gaps observed in the Administration of Criminal Justice and civil Justice, called for inputs from Stakeholders including members of the legal profession, Law enforcement agencies, civil society organisations and non governmental bodies into changes that needed to be made.

The Delta State Attorney-General , who noted that their inputs would impact positively on the proposed reforms on Administration of Criminal Law, stated that the reforms were in the areas of effective case management.

He stated that when the proposed reforms were finally implemented , they would accelerate justice delivery system in the State .

Bozimo lauded the recent judgement of the Federal High Court, Asaba in favour of the State Government on the 150 Billion Naira bridging finance facility obtained by the Government, adding that all legal requirements and documentations comprising the purpose and mode of repayment of the loan were properly stipulated by the State Government before obtaining the facility.

He appreciated the cooperation and team spirit amongst staff of the Ministry of Justice since he assumed office, stressing that they had continued to make his jobs an easy one .
