As the 2022 Christmas draws near, the General Overseer of Goshen Freedom Tabernacle (GFT) in Effurun, Uvwie Local Government Area of Delta State, Prophet Austin Ariole, has called on Nigerians to repent from their sins, serve God genuinely and be saved.
The cleric made the call during GFT’s festival of nine lessons and carols held at the church’s auditorium at the weekend.
“I am calling on you to repent and be broken in the spirit. Love your neighbor. You need to have the life of Christ.”
In a brief exaltation, Prophet Ariole expressed sadness that there was no love amongst christians in the Country, noting that there was so much hate, bitterness and agitations amonsgt Christians.
Prophet Ariole said the reason for the celebration of festival of nine lessons and carols is to celebrate Jesus Christ. He added that, it was because Jesus Christ died and His death set the people free.
He warned that the church of God should be devoid of politics saying,”it’s a place of relief and there is liberty when you run to the church of God.”
While noting that love is a principal thing in the Christian race, Prophet Ariole said love should begin with the members of the church who are also Nigerians.
He maintained that in the house of God, there’s so much seeds of discords amongst the brethren.
“You have to be broken in the spirit. You cannot be praying to God when your heart is bitter. Crave towards righteousness.”
Prophet Ariole charged christians especially his members to show love to one another during this period of christamas and at all times by restarting their lives with a service to God Almighty.
He also appealed to members not to commonise anyone in the church stressing that it is only in the house of God that the people are equal.
