Nigerians have been admonished to learn to be humble in all they do in remembrance of the fact they don’t have control over their lives.

Pastor Paul Enenche, General Overseer, Dunamis Gospel International Centre, made the call in his sermon, christened, “The Value of Thanksgiving ” delivered on the occasion of the 2021 Delta State Praise & Thanksgiving Day, held on 29th May, 2021, at Stephen Keshi Stadium, Asaba.

Pastor Eneche he who took his sermon from the book of Psalms 103 verses 3to 5, identified five categories of persons in Thanksgiving.

He outlined the categories to include those who rapidly forget the help of God and help of man, those who possess an entitlement mentality, those who attribute every result to their abilities, those who are absolutely insatiable and those who are outrightly ungrateful.

The General Overseer of Dunamis Gospel International Centre, enumerate three reasons why we must thank God. He said, “We thank God for forgiving us our iniquities, because He heals our diseases and because He redeemed our lives from destruction and death.”

“That you are alive today is not by your powers. You are not healthy by your powers. That you wake up the next morning is not by your powers. There are so many people who pay to breath. In some places they pay twenty to fifty thousand naira per day to breath. Imagine how much you will pay in a month if you are to pay twenty thousand, that will be six hundred thousand.”

“W have so many people who are passing through health challenges. Some renowned doctors have died under the supervision of medical experts. But you are here today not by your powers but by His mercies. Let us humble ourselves for our lives is not in our hands.”

Pastor Eneche also explained the rewards that comes with Thanksgiving to include multiplication, preservation and longevity and perfection of what God has started.
He thereafter led Deltans to prayer session.

The 2021 Praise and Thanksgiving Day was graced by retinue of Gospel artists from a cross Nigeria including Chioma Jesus, Sinach, Mercy Chinwo, Testimony Jega, Sonnie Badu, Nkechi Chukwura, Tim Godfrey and Paul Nams.
