PDP Elders, Leaders Council, Distributes Laptops, Printers To Enhance INEC CVR In Delta.

The People’s Democratic Party (PDP) Elders and Leaders Council (ELC) in Ughelli North Local Government Area, Delta State Consistency 1, has distributed Laptops and Printers to facilitate the on going INEC continuous voters registration exercise.

Giving out the items recently in Ugheli North Constituency 1, the party said it was in response to the complaints from the Ward Chairmen that people in the Communities have challenges with the on line registration.

The Elders Leaders Council therefore, noted that, the importance of the Continuous Voters Rejistration cannot be overemphasised, adding g that they have constituted a Committee to aid the exercise.

The Forum raised funds and procured the necessary equipment that would help the communities at home to participate meaningfully in the Voters Registration programme.

Speaking at the event which held at the Orogun Residence of Chief Osawota, the Chairman of the Forum in Consistency 1. Chief A.K. Osawota thanked the volunteer youths for agreeing to help out with a community based programme such as the INEC CVR, noting that, “It is a sacrifice for development. I urged everyone to utilize the equipment for maximum results.”

On his part, Chief John Oruma, the Committee Chairman appreciated the youths and promised that, “The committee will continue to cooperate with them to ensure that the exercise succeeds.”

Commenting on the Presentation, Olorogun Surveyor Terry Noah, Chairman of the Elders and Leaders Council in Ughelli North Local Government Area stated that, “The importance of the CVR cannot be over emphasized, all hands must be on deck to ensure success of the exercise, I am hoping very strongly that the presentation would be replicated in other Consistencies.”
